CAGES AND MORE
Ferrets require a large enough environment to be healthy and active. A two story cage is the minimum needed with as large as possible the better. Equip their cage with proper litter pans, food dishes and good water bottles with lots of hammocks and sleep sacks. Never use cat litter or pine shavings as it causes respiratory problems, use a pelleted litter instead.

Ferrets are curious and energetic. They love to do the "Weasel War Dance" Give them lots of stimulating toys to keep them happy. Be sure to keep them in a large area or cage and give at least an hour of "out of the cage" time to play every day.

FLUFFY CLEAN
Keep your ferret clean and healthy with our special shampoos and conditioners. Ferrets have natural oils in their skin so don't overdo bathing, once a month is best. Over bathing actually increases the amount of oils! Use a spray on coat conditioner in between bathings and keep their cage and bedding clean for a smell good ferret.

A HEALTHY FERRET IS A HAPPY FERRET
Ferrets need proper care to be happy and healthy. Taking your ferret once a year to a good ferret knowledgeable veterinarian is a must. Did you know that ferrets sometimes will stop drinking and eating if they feel ill and may need hand feeding until they feel better. Keep a daily watch on their food and water intake.
CROCKS, BOWLS and BOTTLES
Quality bowls and water bottles. Your ferret needs water and food available at all times. Ferrets are obligate carnivores that eat every two to four hours. They require a high protein and low to no carbohydrate diet. Ferrets obtain their energy from the fats they eat. A lustrous soft coat will tell you they are getting the proper nutrients. Good treats include any meats, eggs, jerky for pets, and fish oils. Never give sweets such as chocolate or raisins.
